Went to the dyno today and ran my truck. DTS Dyno At Vaca performance in Downey.
Bone stock 5.3L with 119,xxx miles on it. Only a K&N replacment element. I did an oil change the day before. Before I went down there I cleaned the throttle body out and ran some Seafoam through the motor.
Was pulled in second gear. I pulled 269 HP at the rear wheels and it went to 5050 RPM. I know the tourque was off for sure since it was pulled in second and I know the numbers are a little high.
Realisticaly what should I be seeing???
I know every dyno is different and the main thing is to stay on the same machine when making changes to your combanation.
Since this is my base line I would like to see were I am at. I am new to the Dyno side of things so any help would be much appericated.

Ya I kind figured. I was thinking it should have been more like 220- 240 range. there is a mustang dyno near by but there a bunch of ******. Should I spend the money and deal with the ****** so I can get a comparison???
Wasn't the Factory Hp rating at the fly wheel 300??? I know you lose roughly 20% through the drive train.
The torque was off for sure. I know its not 315 like it says.
He said it was because the pulls were done in second gear and that does not offer a 100% true reading because Of the final drive ratio. Should we try it in third or will it just kick back down into second gear. The pulls start around 2500 rpm
Like I said I am new to the dyno stuff. I know its a good tuning aid but you have to use the same one over and over to see true results. I will be putting a fresh motor in soon with a mild cam and some head work and then a tune.
Looking for some opinions on what to do???
Thanks in advance!
