Default s482/96 on a 402

Got a wild hair in me and decided to take it to the dyno on the street tune, didnt do too bad, but managed to break some parts

Yep...broken right at the hub, never seen that one before. You can see it in the video at the beginning of the pull (notice the sparks which is the pulley spinning on the frame crossmember).

Oh and the dyno results...I dont put a ton of usefulness on the numbers exactly since the dyno loads it much different than the street. A little disappointed I couldnt keep boost in it like I wanted to, but the torque number sure says a lot. Boost feel from 25psi down to about 21psi at the end of the run. Pump 93 gas with some c16 in the tank and spraying a lot of meth. Roughly 18-19 degrees of timing. I replaced the pulley at the dyno shop and drove it home.

I think some diesel guys would be jealous of that torque number

Setup is a bw t6 s482/96 with 5" dp and truck manifolds completely divided, dual 50mm wastegates. Forged 402 bottom end, roughly 9.1:1 scr, 230/233/114 cam, ported L92s, holley hi ram, ebay intercooler, lots of meth.

Turbo is a little undersized for the engine, but it sure makes a good stump puller. Been beating on this exact combo for a couple years now, still chugging along!

looks like it woulda made more tq if the boost would have stayed up there. Is it the lack of load that caused it to drop 4 psi? I would think once she starts screaming then it would not be difficult to keep it going.

Impressive as always

Wow Richard , first of all congrats on PT's first ever carnage of a crank pulley ! DAMN !!!!

But holy sheet , your making more TQ than my dmax did ( although at opposite ends of rpm ) that's just insane , wow wow wow !

Congrats on having a reliable , incredibly powerful dream combo under the hood , I'm glad only the balancer suffered , I'd make a wall art piece out of it

Go post this on the dieselplace and stir up some ish

Bosch 127lb injectors and dual walbro 400s, and spraying 2x15gph meth nozzles. Notice the IAT in the pic above and thats with the sensor in the back of the intake.

Lack of load kind of... the turbo needs to outrun the engine, dynos dont offer as much resistance as the street so the engine accelerates faster but the turbo doesnt as much.

Im running out of wall space to put all my carnage pieces!

Was able to pull it off by hand after I got the bolt out, but the snout looked fine so I dont think it spun.

Wow 97 * IAT , nice . What was ambient ? 70-80 ?

Those dual nozzles are def helping , do you spray strait or mixed ? 70% IDC is nice too .
