he ran it high which I was fearful of---

I'd say for only 8 PSI you're doing well on a 5.3. Other than not wanting to spin the driveshaft too fast, I would say there is power in spinning it higher. I can't imagine youre anywhere near max RPM of that 122. It's funny that your TQ peaks as late as it does for a blower that's not all that rev happy.

Where are your shifts set to in your tune? let that thing show you 6300 RPM. It's not done climbing at 6050.

That's what I told the guy it shifts at in 2-3 (6250)
1-2 is 6450

ive been wanting to pulley down but I worried of lifting a head (stock bolts) who knows I might throw it at it anyways 11-12 psi if I can get the right pulley (got any laying around?)

i was thrown off by the torque, I thought it would be higher

19-20 psi on stock gaskets and head bolts here

Vortec350ss 10-05-2017 12:27 PM

Stock head bolts should be the last thing you fear here.

I say you pulley down. Youre safe with more boost on the stock compression of a 5.3 even on pump gas. 10PSI revved to your shift point will make some nice power! I bet you'd be approaching 500 at the tires and your torque would only come in harder down low.

ya I don't recall my compression ratio anymore- since I've built it- milled the .032 and stock thickness gaskets...

you have any extra pulleys laying around for a mp?

I'm running the 3.1 now-

19-20psi holy crap - I thought anything higher that 15 your asking for problems (other than ring lands popping)

If I could figure out how to load a video not using Photobucket... meh

so i guess he did run to 6400 @164mph ... wonder why the graph didn't recordhttps://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.per...5d13de5012.pngThis is a snap shot

thanks

so which is the correct number to look at then?

417 on the one sheet
with the corrected # (which I don't think is right to go off of)

then this 428 max you pointed out
