First Dyno with the Radix!
#1
Well we did part of the tune for the Z71 with the Radix on it. We are trying out the high compression of my N/A setup with low boost form the Radix. The cam is an N/A cam and not really a blower cam but we were curious to see what it would do since I'm not going to run high amounts of boost through it.
So far its at 433rwhp @ 6355rpm and 408rwtq @ 4465rpm. This is on 5.6psi.
My next mods:
90mm TB
Bigger Heat Exchanger
I'm really curious to see how much more timing I can add with those 2 mods. I'm at 20deg right now and Rick said the thing just LOVES timing. Its gaining like 10-15rwhp for every degree.
All in all I'm very happy with the results so far. Just need to test out the TQ converter and make sure its right for my setup now, add the other couple parts and retune and I'm set
The software scrunches the RPM band close so it looks peaky even though its really not.

Boost map. Pay close attention to how much boost I'm actually seeing at after 4000rpm.

I dont know the exact specs on the cam but this is what i have.
Synergy Cam 226/.591/116
It made good power N/A but did shift the power band rather high. Since I have a stall it was benificial so I didnt waste a bunch of power down low.
As for the loss of boost. Since boost is coming back up after 5k we thought maybe it was belt slip since there is quite a bit of dust on the brackets but I wasnt sure if that was because it was a new belt. The other idea was that the cam is effecting boost. Havnt really sat down and thought about it yet as I just drove it home the 150miles and got the rims put back on and washed her all up after not having her for more than a year.
