5.3, 4x4, TR220, LTs, 3.73s, 33s, and 2nd gear dyno numbers and video
Did a few runs on a Mustang dyno and got my truck retuned.
The runs were in 2nd gear (converter unlocked obviously) with 20x10s and 33" tires.
Mods are TR220 cam and supporting mods, milled 706s (.025), Pacesetter 1 3/4s, K&N intake, and single 3" header back exhaust with Hooker flow through.
Previous tune was based on all the same mods but with stock exhaust and manifolds.
The truck baselined 241/242. After 6 pulls and a bunch of tuning the truck made 271/274 with max hp at 6300 and hitting the limiter at 6500 (only down 2 or 3 hp at 6500).
Numbers weren't high, but the dyno operator told me he recently tuned a bolt on LS1 GTO that put down very similar numbers. So I'm ok with it. I'm mostly happy to have an extra 30hp and 34 ftlbs.
I should note that we ran back to back with the efans on and off and the fans pulled 10hp on the top end! Pretty surprising.
I believe the MAF was flowing somewhere around 445 (or maybe it was 405) g/s at the top. I know that can be equated to HP in some way.

lbs/min of airflow is a good way to figure out about how much HP your engine is making.
Ex: Last data log I did my truck pulled 39.43lbs/min. Each pound of air is roughly 10hp. So move the decimal right one spot, then multiply by .2 (20% for drivetrain loss), gives you 315. So I can assume Im making just about 315RWHP.
