Default 2008 5.3 Dyno

My truck is a 2008 Silverado Z71 ecsb with factory 265/65/18 tires and factory drivetrain. Mods are blackbear 93 octane tune and corsa db muffler with the 5.3 LY5 engine.

I got it dynoed at Corr Performance in Port Allen, LA and they have a dyno dynamics dyno aka heartbreaker lmao. I did 3 runs in 2nd gear fearing that I may break a driveshaft past 100mph and got a best of 249hp/270tq I will post up graphs when I get them. My a/f ratio was rich as ***** at about 11.ish throughout the rpm range so I'm sure theres some more power left in the tune, but as with most mail-order tunes they are playing it safe. I'm sure 2nd gear didn't help the numbers, nor does the 4wd drivetrain.

I'm kinda baffled because I looked at their website and they show a "stock" vortec max 2007 Silverado made 305hp on the same dyno. Anyway I'm pretty happy with the numbers and now have a baseline for when I go FI

So you're thinking my fuel tables are still stock after the tune? meaning justin didn't mess with them at all? I may ask him for a retune to see if we can squeeze a few more out of it.

Shifts are at 5800 across the board. Im guessing with a retune and a 3rd gear run I could get about 270rwhp....but like always these are only numbers and a tuning tool. Track is where it's at.

I didn't do any tuning yesterday, it was a dyno day so I wanted to see what my truck would make. Good deal on a dyno and good fajitas!

after a tune, your af ratio should at least be in the low to mid 12's, regardless of it being a mail order tune.
