Default 04 Grand Cherokee Rear Shocks

My JCG is a 2004 model 4.0L laredo. I put the budget boost lift on it with some skyjacker shocks about 3/4 years ago.

Now the rear end makes a clunking sound on every little bump in the road. My mechanic test drove it and swears it is the rear shocks. I didn't buy the hydro shocks, i bought the cheaper ones.

Does anyone have any ideas on shocks for a 2" lift?

What about something else going wrong, id love to get this fixed. The Jeep only has 92K miles on it.

sounds like something is loose. i would really check to make sure nothing is loose or you have a worn bushing before you go and purchase shocks and still have the clunk.

I have looked without any luck. Any ideas of specific places that could be worn?
