One of my buddies builds motors for the sand drag trucks down here and they are ridiculously fast lol. Must have been funny seeing a daily driven truck out there with purpose built race vehicles tho lol.

Theyre a little more south, about an hour drive i think is what they told me. Ill ask him tomorrow tho. He's really contemplating on building an ls with a **** ton of nitrous(1000+ horsepower worth) to go in a full tube chassis truck. lol

Yea that looks crazy fast. Similar to that blown alcohol 59 chev I raced. It was a aluminum 565 BBC with Dart heads, and 1071 blower on alcohol. Supposed to be close to 1700hp. Prob with sand drags is the tracks vary so much from track to track. I've seen up to a full sec difference between tracks. I had a mild iron headed 500hp NA400 CI sb in a full weight 73 chevy. Truck had a/c full exh etc. On another track went 5.01@65mph. Truck was light years behind my o3 but ran same time with more mph just due to the track difference.
