Default Tire rubber on lower rear quarter?

Do yall have any tips/tricks for keeping the tire rubber off the lower rear quarter panel when at the track? My truck is at the paint shop now getting a completely new paint job, and I don't want to ruin it by getting rubber on it next time at the track.

I think someone once told me that you could cover the lower rear quarter panel with vaseline & just wipe the rubber/vaseline off the fender when you're done racing. Anyone tried that before?

I've seen guys put masking tape down first.

I wonder if you could just spray some plasti dip down first. Might protect a little better?

Thanks guys! Solid ideas for sure!

Surprised 3M doesn't make some kind of clear/transparent tape for this application.

WD 40 works great and doesn't hurt the paint. Softens it right up.

3M does make the stuff, it's just going to be a cut to fit and not something that is kind pre-made and ready go on a certain area like that.
