still hunting for 10s

Went to track last night. Ran a 11.07 at 121.7 with a 1.61 60ft, 11.08 at 121.3 with a 1.60 60ft, and 11.11 at 121.3 with a 1.67 60ft. 4.8 with 78/75 , 15 psi, timing was around 13 degrees, 10.8 AFR. Truck went 11.02 at 121 in Jan with DA of -900 feet with 70mm/no meth, 1.56 60ft and 11 degrees of timing. DA last night was about +900 feet. I noticed on 2 step set at 3500, the most boost I could make was 7 psi. I used to leave on 9 with 70mm. So I decided to try just foot braking it. Well it made more then 7 and spun to a 1.63 60ft, let out got back in it and ran 11.15 at 121, but as i slowed down, it was making some clanks lol. It broke the flexplate all the way around, either happened in burnout , on launch or when i let out and it hooked back up. I will get that changed out and try again.

You can build more boost on the foot brake than the trans brake???

What was the IAT temp difference between last night and january? If it was colder in january which i would assume it was, somewhat could have been a differemce in temp, no?? (Still trying learn so, if im way off dont blast me) sucks to hear about your flexplate though...

truck does not have a trans brake, it made more boost without using the 2 step, truck made 7 psi wether i stayed on 2 step for 1 second, or 4 seconds. Just brake stalling it made more boost.

Back in Jan, out side temp was colder and DA better. Didnt have meth then, and Iats were about 140 at the end of pass. Now with meth, its 90-91 at the end of a pass.

Its bound to happen eventually...lol

10s can be tricky

What's your air fuel ratio? I'm still surprised it's not pulling harder on the back half of the track. Also I know you can get away with more timing.

AFR is 10.8. 70mm would pick up 21-23 mph back half depending how much timing was pulled, 78mm picks up 25-26 mph, picked up 28mph on drag radials.

we added one degree of timing, 121.3 before, 121.7 after

broke time slips down, best from 70mm, best from Friday with 78. Keep in mind DA was 1800ft differance. from 60 ft to 8th mile , 70mm took 5.44 seconds, 78mm took 5.44 seconds, back half took 70mm 4.01, 78mm took 4.00. had a 1.54 and 1.56 60ft leaving at 8-9 psi with 70mm. 1.60 60ft leaving at 7 psi with 78mm. 70mm tapped 121.2 on 11 degrees, actually 10.5, it pulled half a degree on that run. the 78mm pass with a 1.5 60ft which i truly believe i can get and Janauray DA could have netted a 10.79 at 123. Truck feels stronger, just not sure if I will get it done with this warmer weather without uping the timing or add another lb of boost. Putting in a good flexplate and driveshaft loop, and leave a little harder with it.
