Default Rear Brake calipers

I was going to swap rear calipers a few years ago but I was able to do some grinding to fit my 16" wheels.

Now I am ready to replace them but my issue is the banjo bolt coming straight out towards the rim. The banjo bolt actually rubs the rim so I have been looking for some calipers that have the banjo bolt coming in from the side (along the line of the axle) if that makes sense. I HAVE HAD NO LUCK.

Anyone have the same issue ? Any answers ?

I know there are some old threads on this subject. I believe some people swapped to s10 calipers, but I’m not 100% certain.

From what I found they were swapping to S-10 on the front. Supposedly had drum on rear. I have about wore NAPA out searching pictures of each year chevy.

Are you going to 15" wheels?

You can use the early 2000 S10 calipers on the stock rotors/brackets and will likely still require grinding depending on wheel fitment.
Or you could do the GMT400 4wd front rotors/calipers with 1320wheels brackets and remove all the parking brake hardware for more weight savings.

I'm still running 16" Bogarts...10" rear. I had to grind the top of the banjo bolt to clear the rim. ...and I mean really grinded
