Default New PB Today

Had a great day today at TRRP. Been trying for them 12's for a while, air was good and track was hooking great. Finally ran 12.78 @ 105, pretty happy with it. Now time to find a little more! Congrats to Shane and Holly! They both got new PB today also.

1/8th mile times were 8.15 @ 85.35, 1.86 sixty. It usually runs 1.84 and 1.85 sixties but it didn't that time.

Damn thats awesome! Do you mind sharing the cam specs? I'm guessing its not too crazy if you're still running a strong 60' with that mild of a converter.

My goal is to have a set up pretty similar to yours (aftermarket heads to compete with those L92's) and run a time thats in the same ball park. I'll have to 60' a little better to make up for the extra weight and drag of the 4x4.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your cam isnt too extreme!

Don't mind sharing at all. It's a EPS custom grind 222I-230E, 595I-598E on a 112+4. The little cam makes good tourqe thru out and that's what is needed to move weight. Truck weighs 5,150 lbs in race trim with me in it. I'd love a little more convertor to see what it would do, but the driveability is so good with the 3,200, hate to loose that.

That sounds VERY similar to my cam, maybe a hair more aggressive, with yours being spec'd to work the the square ports while mine is designed for the older design cathedral ports. Mine is a 222/226.

5150# will be really hard for me to touch, but this still gives me hope! I was also thinking the 3200 would be best for me. Is yours the 278mm model or the 258? Do you feel like you give anything up off the line?

I would also think that the right set of aftermarket heads would be able to outperform the L92's as well, but I dont want to get ahead of myself.

Your trap speed is AWESOME. I wish I could touch that, but I know I cant with AWD in such a mild build.
