New PB, anxiously waiting to put slicks on

Well I took the truck to the track tonight. I filled up as much E85 as I could put in it. My sensor showed 70.7% ethanol. At 15 PSI I went 11.34@129 with a 1.89 60'. At 21 PSI I went 11.43@133 with a 1.90 60'. This was with the factory Goodyear LS2 275/55/20 tires. Hopefully the slicks wake this thing up a little.

No kidding....damn

George C.... 08-15-2015 09:17 AM

how much timing?

example i ran 11.05@130 on 12.5 psi and 26* on a 5.3 93/meth

Gadgetized 08-15-2015 03:54 PM

I was at 18 degrees. I was mainly running it to see how it was acting at the 2nd half of the track. I just can't get into the gas on the street without breaking the tires loose. It seemed to be pulling pretty good. I can still add a good amount of power to it.

George C.... 08-15-2015 04:42 PM

Should easily go 10s on sticky tires

BigKID 08-16-2015 12:24 PM

I am curious to see what it does on some good tires too. Looks like you were doing a bit of pedaling on the last two runs at the top of first and second. Good runs despite the lack of traction.

Gadgetized 08-16-2015 01:48 PM

Thanks. Here are in cab views of the same runs. For some reason I blew the belt off on the last run. Must be I need a new belt or a stronger tensioner.

AKlowriderZ71 08-16-2015 02:33 PM

That's a nice MPH! Congrats man!!

Gadgetized 08-16-2015 05:29 PM

Thanks, I can't wait to see some good times from her.

dragpac 09-03-2015 06:54 AM

Nice run man for sure!

BigBlock90 09-03-2015 01:14 PM

Very nice runs!! I like that mph

Gadgetized 09-03-2015 03:34 PM

Thanks. I assume the MPH should be better when I get my wheels.

03chevytruck 09-08-2015 11:37 PM

sooo, About those slicks??

Gadgetized 09-09-2015 06:26 AM

I purchased Racestar wheels in February, and am still waiting for them to show up. The slicks, tubes, screws, and front runners have been waiting ever since to be installed.

Choda 09-09-2015 08:15 AM

133 letting out 2-3 times.... hahahaha. Youve donbe an amazing job with this truck.

Lets get this baby on the dyno.

Gadgetized 09-09-2015 11:29 AM

Tks. I'm ready for some dyno pulls whenever you guys are.

GMCtrk 09-09-2015 12:37 PM

I'm surprised you keep waiting for these phantom wheels.

I'm extremely happy with my decision to get Bogarts and will be ordering the fronts sooner or later. Very high quality, I'd seriously equate them to jewelry...they looked better than things I've wasted more money on at Tiffany's for ex's haha. Plus, it's much better to support USA made products than china

Gadgetized 09-09-2015 01:45 PM

Every day I check to see if they are shipped I think of you already up and running. My main problem is, I have no money currently. I have a new child, a wife that doesn't have an income, and I need to put up a shop before winter. I am literally tapped. I haven't even been driving the truck since I took it to the track. Life sure does get in the way of fun.

GMCtrk 09-09-2015 01:50 PM

all that stuff is way more important than the truck, especially the child

Gadgetized 09-09-2015 02:01 PM

Yeah, I'm not complaining at all. I actually don't have a good setup for the 1/4 anyways, I need all 4 shocks. I really just want to make a good pass this year. Hopefully I can get it on the dyno and see some numbers

Well, at least your truck is already built! We just had our second child in June and my wife doesn't work either so building my truck is taking forever. I don't even want to think about how much longer it's going to take!! I bought the turbo and cam kit last Sept/Oct and I still haven't touched the truck. BUT I have a nice pile of parts laying around lol.

Gadgetized 09-09-2015 08:55 PM

I actually had my truck built before we got married, so that helped a lot. Plus my father in law pulls tractors, so she is used to wrenching on toys. I also have a 72 Chevelle that I bought 25 years ago. I have all the parts for a twin turbo LY6 ready to go for that. Good thing I saved all those parts up over the years.

TIM Z 09-09-2015 09:26 PM

Hey bud Congrats on that wicked fast truck !!

I totally hear ya , i have similar things in my life right now that really really limit my play time and money . I havent ran at the track for 3 years , its always something . I need to get there , gonna show the haters what a lil 1900 will do

Gadgetized 09-09-2015 10:46 PM

Tks man. It has been a long progress. I can't wait to really turn some times. I know it has much more left in it.
