best way to launch?
 

I'm going to the track this thursday and wanted some fedback on how your guys are launching

Are most of you launching in drive or 1st gear and manualy shifting?

The way i do it is, good burnout, i leave mine in 3rd (just habit, no difference if left in Drive), my truck does the best 60ft by stalling it up to 2000-2100 and then flashing it from there... Since you have a tune you shouldn't be manually shifting, just my opinion.

stall up as high as you can, an floor it when you see the green!! run it till it cant run no more lol

On street tires (not ET's or DR's) it's recommended to do a quick dusting. (I'll just give'em a little more than a chirp. Let some air out...and find the stall speed that works for you.
Also, watch the pole...time yourself, leave as soon as that last 3rd. amber lights, by the time you actually start moving it'll be green ;)

Cool thanks guys--maybe I shoulda said that I've been to the strips before just not in my truck, just my muscle cars in high school--just trying to find out If there was anything special with these trucks-im used to the old school muscle,the new eletronic muscle is all new to me
