6.2 converter results

ok i went to the track yesterday. here are the results. by the way i towed a 6500lb race car and trailer to and from the track like 160 miles each way and it was 85 degrees out.

previously i went 13.9 @ 99mph with stock 17 inch wheels and the 31.7 tall tires with the tailgate and spare removed

my new combo with the circle D multi disc 2800-3000 stall 265mm and 28.8 inch tall drag radials in all 4 corners. 305/18's from mickey T on centerline 18 x 9.5 inch billet wheels. all launches were in 2WD. it dead hooked on the 305 mickey t drag radials!!! atco raceway is also known to be sticky as hell!

6.2 EC/SB 4x4 ARH headers 1 7/8 to borla race muffler side exit, Volant CAI, 160 stat, dyno tuned 360RWHP/380, and the converter/ trans tune

13.56 @ 99
13.64 @ 99
13.61 @ 99
60 foots were in the 1.9's

my mph did not go up and i think its because i forgot to take the damm tailgate off like i did on my 13.9 runs. im sure it would have lowered my ET and upped my mph a tad bit furthur

Heres the good news for someone. i will be selling the converter/headers and going back to stock soon. i have to get a diesel crew cab for my travelling and towing. my truck only has 5500 miles on it and im going to sell it after winter.
the sick centerline 18x9.5 wheels will also be for sale soon with the drag radials. ill offer the complete set or 2 each to two people who want to race in style and hook!! of course discount if someone wants all 4

Looser converters usually cause mph to drop a bit and cause et to drop even more.

What was your 60' on the 13.9 run? Also, you said atco raceway. Are you from NJ?

I am suprised how little you gained from the converter.

How were you flashing it? Where you brake stalling till it was pushing, did you rev to 1000 then punch it at go time? If I read correctly you went to a slick this time that was shorter.

All good stuff but I am just suprised you didn't gain more.

i went 4/10s faster going from my 275/55/20s to my 29" tall tires spinning a 2.1 60ft, i thought it would have dropped more too, but had a 1.95 60ft with my 5.3 no converter, and now 6.0 and 3200 and i have 2.1s, but i cant hook, still picked up speed though.

i think the whole issue was not removing the damm tailgate like i did for my 13.9 runs. as far as driving 2 runs i flashed the converter just jumped on it and one run i tried 1000rpm on brake than hit it. the converter def helped as we can see by 13.9 to 13.56 my 60 foots use to be 2.2 or 2.3 now there 1.9's

i also forgot to put my tow haul mode on thats were i have my best trans tune. it was a busy day for me i was more worried about my other cars and not my tow truck!!!

The tail gain didn't make a differance. If it did it was .01 and probably less.

I have not seen eveidence one way or the other that is concreat but I would say the gate on helps with arodynamics good for .0001. Also the weight is small enough to not hurt you but possibly help with traction.
