One thing I may do over the winter is go with a 4k stall. The 3400 is fine and all for driving however I am leaving alot on the line at launch. Being that I have no vacuum at idle, my brakes can't hold her back for a brake stall launch (need hydroboost) either. I only have about 1500-1800 miles on this pig, need to further the tuning and of course my truck was about 150-200lbs heavier than my normal race weight. I am just going to enjoy the truck this summer at the car shows and come the fall, give her hell
How much flash stall are you getting from a dead idle? One issue you're going to have is that if you get the converter where it needs to be your converter will stall too high on the spray. If you could get a true 3400 flash stall without the spray it should stall to 4000 or just under on the spray. I do know what you mean for sure on the DA. Out here in Vegas a DA of 2500 is a good day at the track. My truck has ran a 60' in the 1.9's and with the DA in the 2500 range my 60' is 2.1. Better weather and more timing alone is going to be a big fix for your issue's. Were you on your drag radials?

Dead idle stall is about 3300 no more. I thought it was higher but I confirm its a tight 3300. Keep in mind I idle at 1075 as well. I will not be dumping a big shot off the line, rather progressively after 2nd gear and window switched at 2-3, with another quick ramp after that. I have another dry kit installed (not sure if you knew that) that will be spraying off launch with either a 50 or a 75 shot so the nitrous stall will not be that much more than it is currently. I added the dry shot for playing off the track primarily however I sure as hell will be using it at the track as well. I also would like less of an RPM drop between shifts. I have a free re-stall with PI so all I have to do is get my *** under the truck again and pull the converter and re-install if I go that route.

Ahhh, that is the fun stuff though. Now that it is up and running well, the tweaks should only improve overall performance. For such a big cam, it has pretty good street manners, even with the tight converter. I am not sure I would like a "real" high stall converter but I am certain the track times would.
