A term typically used for a first time out pass with a new combo/set-up. No idea how it will act or perform. He's setting a baseline for future modifications to his new set-up.

Thanks guys but it is far form running its best. I was happy that all the minor bugs are worked out and it is finally a real driver again. Those times should be the slowest I will run. Yea, the DA was crappy however it was higher than 2500 for sure. Island dragway was built on a swamp and the humidity is always higher than wunderground reports at the closest location to the track. I wasn't going to go however for shakedowns, it was fine. Bring on the cool weather!

I am running an FLT Level V 65E with Billet input and output shafts and a PI 9.5" 3400 stall. The 80E is in the works however, the FLT level V is a very well built piece. Lets see what she will take. Swapping an 80E in an AWD Silverado SS isn't a quick thing otherwise I would have done it a while ago...

good to see you got it out to the track. It took me a few times to the track to get it where its at and it still needs a little more.

It's going to take a while to get it where you want. Look at Brad's NA 6.0L. He was barely breaking out of the 14's when he started with it. I think you'll end up in the low 12's and almost 11's once you get it done. NA power is extremely fussy with that much weight, especially with a powerband that high.

Yes sir. I wasn't going to even post my shakedowns because someone out there will think that is what it is only capable of. I am not hiding anything and know it will take some time to bring the times down. I have been keeping a close eye on Brad's build and his truck is a running machine now.

One thing I may do over the winter is go with a 4k stall. The 3400 is fine and all for driving however I am leaving alot on the line at launch. Being that I have no vacuum at idle, my brakes can't hold her back for a brake stall launch (need hydroboost) either. I only have about 1500-1800 miles on this pig, need to further the tuning and of course my truck was about 150-200lbs heavier than my normal race weight. I am just going to enjoy the truck this summer at the car shows and come the fall, give her hell

I'm with ya on that !! Love to drive the truck on the street !!

I got a real good offer yesterday (a friend hooked me up). Goodyear is gonna use my truck to test their new drag radials (me driving). They are going as far as buying me a new set of ET Streets to test against their set.
These boys mean business. Gonna mount both sets of tires on matching rims to get a real, apple-to-apple test. Gonna happen on the 23rd of this month. I am all fired up...this will be a blast. Meeting at South Georgia Motor Sports at 6 pm - 11pm. Hoping for some new sixty foot times
