Turbogibbs ran LOW 13s with his magnacharged 4.8 a few years ago. I drove it and the 2-3 shift is ridiculous when trying to shift fast

I wouldnt worry about the clutch, he would dump it on slicks from 3500rpm and he was putting down almost 500rwhp and somewhere near there tq wise.

Id definitely do the 6.0 first though.

Why yes I have. I had a reg cab with a worn out one, hummed and vibrated like crazy. Stock shifter was sloppy as hell. Best mod I ever did was directed from a member here, a very inexpensive short throw shifter that also put the shifter at a better angle to the driver. It would glide thru the gears after that. I will look up the shifter that I used and PM you when I get the chance.

yeah, I intended to buy a 5speed truck until I drove one. Its was just awkward with the long shifter and parking brake release above the clutch pedal. Plus the truck trans has weird wide ratio gearings that never feltl right.

What gear do you finish the 1/4 in? What are you shifting it at?

Well it used to be top top of 3rd, but now i picked up some speed so its about right after i shift to 4th.

Next time i might just raise the limiter to 6500 for at the track.
