Default 1st pass on turbo

I made my first pass at the track with my truck. I only got 1 pass in because track was busy and it took forever to get that one pass in. I didn't leave with enough boost from the line and got a terrible launch. Then when the boost did hit I spun quite a bit and pedaled it about 3 or 4 times. To very unimpressive 12.99 @ 121.34 mph. I was only going 92 mph at the 1/8 mile from spinning the tires too much so for me to get to 121 at the 1/4, I don't think that's too bad. I was on 14psi of boost and once I get my new 2.5 map sensor we're upping the boost some more. So I think the truck should have a 10 sec pass in it if I learn how to drive the damb thing and can get down the track without spinning too much.

What's the cab configure or your truck and the motor turbo setup? And 121 for spin is a hell of a trap speed.

05 ecsb VHO which is basically the exact same thing as a 2wd SS without the cladding. Sbe Lq9, ported 317's, Isky 218 cam, stock intake, SP quick spool valve, and trick turbo kit with a billet S476.

I know tire spin effects ET a lot more than MPH but I'd like to think if I had launched better and not spun and lifted as much as I did, more mph by the 1/8 mile would translate over to more mph in the 1/4 mile. Maybe someone with more track time would know if it works like that. All that said yeah I was pretty happy with the 121 mph as long I can improve on it.

gadgetized has a similar setup and has always had to get outta it a couple times during a pass. 122 letting out a couple times is impressive, youre making good power.

How do you like that quick spool valve?

I can definitely spool my turbo up with less throttle but I believe my converter is too loose to take full advantage of it. The only time it really makes a noticeable difference for me is when I'm part throttle cruising down the freeway with the converter locked.
