Default Dakota Problem

I have a 1999 dakota 5-speed v8 rc. i have had a problem with a noise ever since i got it. When i press the clutch or let off the gas when i am going over 45 or so i get this howling type noise. i have had a new drive shaft put in it and it got alot better. the drive shaft was in real bad shape. i just wondered if anyone could help me diagnose it. any help would be appreciated. thanks

Sounds like the pinion bearings are wiped. If you can get it on jack stands and run it with the rear wheels off the ground, just stick your head near the rear axle case and listen.
