While what I was thinking is that the mods pus the low oil pressure could help explan part of this problem a little bit more.

The low oil could cause a problem. The only thing that makes me wonder is the fact that the toner ring is the same diameter as the crank weights. Since it does not actually "bathe" in the oil pan/sump ( windage tray also separates it ) I would first guess that too high of an oil level would impact it more than low?

The tone ring issue is due to poor engineering,it was designed with metals to brittle for the engines harmonics, low oil or high high oil levels.

No sweat, it's a habit of mine ( and my outside job ) to look at all the possible angles and justify good/no good on ideas. I work at an Intel site and you would not believe how intricate and off topic they can get during troubleshooting ( think outside the box is their favorite slogan ). I learned long ago never to say never cuz it has made an azz out of me on many occasions.
DCX really screwed the pooch on the toner ring construction. I still believe all the modification related failures are one reason why they will not release any computer related upgrades until the 7/70 powertrain warranties come closer to ending.
Peace Gonzo, keep us informed and honest!

Another one goes down. Interesting that 3 guys that know each other, all with the Motorblue pulley, all had failures, but at different rpm's.

The toner ring, is just good enough for stock applications but can't handle serious mods well, and changing the harmonics, like with the pulley is making them gernade. Yes, a few have gone without the pulley, but the great majority have had the pulley installed. DC dropped the ball on the toner ring and they know it, that's why the performance billet crank has a beefer one and so does the 6.1L hemi.

I don't think I'll ever be putting on an underdrive pulley, and before I do anymore mods then I have outside of an e-fan, the bottom needs some lovin. Performance Crank with a good toner ring, and some new rods that krc is selling.

The 3 bolts on the 5.7 toner ring, are not symetrically placed either. The toner ring on the 6.1 is also .050" thicker with 4, symetrically placed bolts.
