Default Mods for 4.7l

Whats a good mods for a 2002 dodge ram 4.7l. I rebuild the motor from top to bottom due to blowing it up. Right now it have a short ram intake and a muffler delete. Im really trying to test the 4.7l potential

Take it back out, and put in a 4.8 LS engine with a 4L80e trans. Then hop THAT engine up. Best thing you can do.

I had half a dozen people tell me not to trade for the 02 I have. Now that I have driven it some, it has developed a lifter tick, which I am sure was there before the STP wore down.

I have already called a local distributor for the pricing of the 4.8/4L80e and he said he would have to check but he was expecting in the range of 2400 for the combo that included a computer and harness and all front dress, including AC compressor.

I would go for that price because the 4L80e is one seriously tough transmission. Would be perfect for medium duty hauling and last a long time to come.
