Default 3.7 question

Anybody here have or know anybody with a dakota 2004 with the 3.7 that has trouble with it feeling like it is missing aound 45-55 mph?Almost feels like it shifts to overdrive to soon.Have had it in 3 or four times since I bought it new and they say they can find nothing wrong and they have had a couple others come in complaining of the same thing even one of their own mechanics has said he has one that does the same thing. It is really pissing me off.I new I should have gotten the 4.7!
