ok im looking at getting a 2000 dodge 24 valve 4wd. i think ive found a sweet deal and im hoping it will work out. now i have a question ive seen alot of the dodges around here blow some black smoke. from what ive gatehrd in 98 dodge went to the eletrict fuel pump an cant be turned up manualy i guess im correct i could be wrong.
so the newer dodges they using the expensive tuners out are they taking it some here an having a shop do it or what???
because ive got some ideas for some mods like pipes an what not
please let me know thanks

Yes, you will need a tuner. Some can be had for as cheap as $375. I would not straight pipe your truck unless you are running a tuner- you will kill your low end power. Make sure you get some gauges too- boost, pyro and fuel pressure.
Black smoke is lack of fuel combustion. Just because you see black smoke doesnt always mean its a fast truck
