Question Bout to buy a 99 3500 cummins good year or bad?

Im about to buy a 99 cummins I used to have a 95 with the 12valve and I remember hearing bad things about either the 99 or 00 model trucks I know the 98.5s with the 24V had alot of problems are the 99s better? also wondering how much a new PCM is.

Thanks!

biggest weak point would be the 47re trans. Build it and the cummins will treat you well!

what he said.. look for the HO motor also the gage clusters had problems too. and the dash cracks, and if you chip it you NEED a lift pump otherwise the injection pump will go byebye in no time

I would believe this guy probably made his purchase decision by now, considering he was looking in June of 2010.
