Find a complete pull out with wiring harness, that should solve most of things you need to find.

I used PSI conversion for my ls1/4l80e in my '85 C10. Great quality, $585 or so.

Get the wire harness for with LS if you can. Also, I purchased a Painless 7-circuit harness for under the hood. It will receive its power from the "ignition" circuit of the main harness so essentially everything under the hood will be a stand alone harness from the main truck harness.

I got a harness from Lsx specialties. I was not impressed with the split loom on the psi harness.
