Default Need fuel line help

Ok, I'm down to the end of my swap in my 89 rcsb and I bought the -6an 3/8 Line quick disconnects for my return style 99-02 truck intake. I tried to install on the line and the fitting acts as if it's not long enough to clip over the flared end off the intake fuel line. I also learned after the fact that the two lines are different sizes. So I have two useless fittings. So my question is can someone tell me the exact parts they used to connect their truck intake fuel lines to the -6an braided lines I have on the truck going back to the tank. Help me get this thing running cuz I'm soo close lol. Thanks for helping.

I used that exact feed line disconnect and it's the one that will not fit the fuel line all the way to the flare.

try putting the plastic piece on the line first and then slide the metal part of the fitting on.

It took some force (very tight seal) but I just tried it on a '99 fuel rail and it went together no problem.

Yeah, I was afraid to push too hard on that plastic piece with fear of breaking it. Thanks for trying it to see what I was talking about lol.

Are those not the fittings that are prone to popping off an causing fires that russell refused to recall?

I thought 644120 and 644110 were the new style ones?

Those do look nice. I didn't know they existed. The locking piece threading in place looks pretty fail proof provided it doesn't back out.

As for the other style I have never had a problem. I would be willing to bet it was from them not being seated properly by the installer. It took a liberal amount of effort to get the one I have here completely seated.
