My 1955.2 Big Window
New to this board and thought I’d post a few pictures of my truck.
Purchased from 2nd owner in 2011. He’d gotten it from original owner in 2010 who had gotten too old to drive it! It was not registered or run from ‘99 to 2010. He got it running, realized he’d bit off too much and listed it for sale. I paid $4600 for it running but badly, already a 283/350TH/10 bolt, already 5x4.75 lug pattern wheels, tapered roller bearings up front, fresh drum brakes all around and the rust was not terrible. Pics are as-purchased, then when I had it in its shop truck look, and now nearing completion after a frame-off rebuild. It’s now got a Flat Out Engineering crossmember, Corvette C3 IFS, limited slip Ford 8.8 rear on top of leaf springs. Mildly cammed LQ4/4l85e - both freshly rebuilt, 4 wheel disc, R&P steering, Vintage Air. Feel free to comment.
