Default Looking for some help

Hi all. I have a '90 454 SS with a carb, turbo 400, 4.10 gears and 28 inch tall tires. I'm looking for a solution to get the engine rpms down on the highway. My current thoughts are between switching to 3.42 gears, a gear vendors, or an overdrive transmission. Which option has the least number of drawbacks? Thanks.

Not the cheapest but what I consider the best is the GV overdrive. Nice truck I had one new in 1990.

Yeah. 3 grand isn't cheap by any means, but to do a 4l80e will probably be close to that.
