Ok. Pretty sure we've been down this road before. Either way I am pretty positive mine is the fastest here still on TBI.

Can anyone use one of those adjustable fuel pressure regulators for the TBI units? I bought one several years ago for a different truck that I never even used. This thread reminded me of it.

Never seen a time slip oldred.....what's it run....that way we have some comparison to go by instead of just saying....well, I believe I'm the fastest with no indication of an actual time to beat.

I would be in this battle but I traded my TBI for a MPFI system a long time ago.

I know it. You would think at some point in the last 8 years I would have made a run or two with it but I just never have. There has never been a place anywhere near I live and I have never had the time or enough want to drive two hours just to make a couple passes and hope something doesn't lay down on me. I've been wanting to go to Ark City in the fall. The track isn't much but I know a lot of guys from here go there so if I do break it I can get it home somehow.

My point was I'm basically the only one still using TBI with anything significant done to it.

On a SBC, yea...I believe there is one or two on here with a 383 on their TBIs and the 454 guys but I got what your saying.

I feel the same way about my truck...nearest track is 2 hours away.

There's at least one big block I know of that has run 12.4 NA.
I've been 13.5 NA on the stock tune.

FWIW within any given engine family, there is NO replacement for displacement.
