I looked around and googled stuff. I know mostly what I need. I found guides on how to make a stand alone wire harness. But I much rather send mine off. I got a complete donor truck it's a 2002 gmc sierra with a 6.0 and 4l80e. I got the whole wire harness as I bought the whole truck cause it was salvaged. I'm wanting to through in the engine into my 98. Do I need the 02 pcm or the 98 pcm to be sent off?

Possibly both to have a piggy back made to have the guages work... Call the company thats going to modify the harness and ask them... I know speartech did a gen iv swap into an nbs and made a piggyback harness between pcms to allow guages and ac etc to function properly!!
