Stumbled upon a 82 short wide silverado for what I think is a decent price. Decent enough that I couldn't pass it up. Going to swap the built 370 I have for my 03 extended cab. Figured this thing is a heck of a lot lighter. Needs some minor rust repair and lots of parts from lmc for the interior. But I have always liked these things. It's my 2nd 2wd shorty, had a 4wd shorty, and 4 or 5 longbeds.

 

Nice looking rig. Looking for one myself for a fun DD so I can keep playing with my '04 Sierra stepside.

 

If you get a dash pad go with a company called Cheyenne out of Oklahoma! The rest are junk. I coated all of my interior plastics with SEM paint because most of the aftermarket stuff doesn't fit well. Good luck with the swap!

 

Engine is finally together. Thompson Motorsports 370, arp everything, wagner motorsports cnc ported 799 heads.

 

Any updates? That 370 looks clean!!
