Default 76 gmc c10 5.3 swap

I have a short wide 76 GMC that is basically rust free roller.
Doors have been shaved bad tail gate was poorly welded shut.
Truck was a 350 t400.
I have 3 350 engines I could build and the original t400.
I also have a 2 wd 2003 avalanche 5.3 chassis with no rear end I could build this on.
This motor has the 4l60. I have had this chassis for 10 years, it has 40000 miles on it.
The 76 chassis would need all new Bushings.
Has anyone tried shorting a newer frame like this and doing this.
I don't have as much understanding about torsion bar suspension as coils.
I would probably do the 76 front end with tubular control arms and Qa1 coilovers.
That is what I have done with my 67 Camaro and like it a lot.
looking for ideas......
