Default 1985 LS swap with A/C question

For those of you who have done an LS swap in an 81-87 series truck with A/C, did you use the round A/C vacuum canister as well? I purchased a used cab (but far better shape than mine) and it had this canister but no lines so I'm not sure if it needs to stay or go or where the vacuum line would go to from the canister. Any help would be appreciated and picture of the canister is below.

I used that same canister in my 1997 s-10, it just stores vacuum, so whatever canister you want to use will work

Oh and anywhere you can pull vacuum from the intake manifold is fine, just t it in to the a/c controls and have a check valve between it and the manifold
