1967 Chevy C10 generator to alternator conversion
Hi I have a 1967 Chevy C10 pickup with a brand new motor in it, but I dont know how to do the conversion from generator to alternator. I do not have that much experience and I would be more than grateful for someones help.

If you want to keep it simple, you could just run a one wire alternator. Alternator -> battery..
I already have the alternator and a brand new engine Im sorry but I dont know anything about it if u tell me where I can find out what kind of alternator I have I can tell you.
1967 year models already had alternators not generators. If originality is not an issue I agree with wheeliE. One wire hook up and you are good to go.
What does that mean Im really sorry but all I really know about cars is basic like the cycles of the engine and what all the mechanical stuff does Im really sorry, but I do not know what this means, I have been told by four or five people that I needed to make the switch from generator to alternator I have two white wires coming out of the alternator, and a blue and a white wire that are connected to a plastic part that look like they have something to do with the alternator.

I keep trying to upload images and it wont show them but once i figure out how to do it i will shoe u guys what im looking at
Just go to autozone and ask for an alternator for your truck.
i already have one, and a brand new motor and a brand new carburetor and a brand new transmission i just need the wiring done and i dont know how to do it
Alright. You need to figure out what alternator you have. 10SI? 12SI? CS130? CS144? Internally or externally regulated?
