5.3 here as well.....as sig says Step-Side, Reg Cab, stock ride height and only Flows, KN Drop-In, Kumho Rubber, Tint, and Extang Tonneau so far. Been in college the 3+ years I have owned her, so the money has not been there for heavy mods.

Soon to change hopefully!

Yeah the reg cab is great for saving weight and shortening up the wheelbase and such......but remember the next time you have your girl, your dog, and your groceries packed easily into your extended cab that this would be a major PITA for me!

Have you guys gotten any 1/4 mile times with your trucks? Took my truck out to Tulsa Raceway Park last fall and ran like a 16.0...

Only got to run once since some goober in a old-beater blew his tranny and sprayed half the track with fluid.

Spun really bad on the launch.....granted this was my first try ever at actually running the 1/4.....didn't expect a stock 5.3 to spin that bad on the tacky VHT covered track. This was with just the flows, and K&N as performance mods. Plus I had 2/3s of a tank of gas and crap in the bed....lol. Just wondering what kinda times I should be gunning for with the headers, tune, CAI, and a few other tweaks.

I have been going as a spectator for years now with my Dad. When I finally went to run my truck I was all worried about what to do.....figured I would roll through the staging lights and the starter would have to come over and tell me to backup as 200 drunk guys laughed at my dumbass.

But it was simple not to mention a blast. I mashed the throttle way too bad off the line and spun em' up for a half a sec as I launched......figured I could footbrake a tad and rev a bit and dump it......but my skinny-*** 255's just didn't grip. Went with my buddy who has a pretty nice WS6. Some of you guys may know him fomr LS1TECH as Stryker14, the guy who does the insane flame paintjobs. Made it alot easier knowing he could fudge up just as bad as me...

Ever since I went I have been wanting nothing else than to mod the **** outta my truck.....but college has put a serious drain on my fundage. Hopefully that changes soon and I can come have you guys tune and toss on a couple mods.....then we can get a couple more fellas and hit up Thunder or TRP.

Anyone down for sometime this summer?!?!?
