KC Maxx Performance

Has anyone in KC Metro used KC Maxx Performance for engine mods? They are offering DOD delete, cam swap, springs, pushrods, lifters, gaskets, bolts for $2500 installed. Seems like a decent deal to me, wondering if any one has experience with them. Thanks.

I was going to but ended up going to Advanced Engine in Salina instead.

I've heard good stuff about KCMAXX but no personal experience with them.

Is that with the parts supplied by them?

They posted the deal to their Facebook page and I asked the same question, he said that price is for everything. I have to assume parts are supplied by them, but I would prefer to provide my own, definitely choose the cam at the very least and verify it is what it's supposed to be.

I know they do tuning as well, did you ask to see how much that would run?

I know Ryan and Mike personally, as well as most of the rest of the staff there. All great guys. I would recommend them any day. Very good people who do top quality work. Ryan is always more than willing to work with people to get them what they want and make sure they are happy with the end result.

$2500 sounds over priced to me. Even with labor, maybe I'm just cheap.

Is this with an aftermarket camshaft and tuning with that price?

Because you could personally shop around and buy the parts with a mild cam for about $1,000 if you were gettings good deals. Then $1500 in labor just sounds like alot for not an overally hard job to do.

For a dod delete that's not a bad price. Realize you have to pull the heads for this swap, so it's a bit more involved than just swapping in a new cam.

6 manifold bolts and then head bolts isn't really that much further after the intake is already off. Impact guns make quick work on these things.

I appreciate this comment, makes me feel a lot better about it.
