The Bakken is reportedly one of the largest oil fields in the world, covering about 200,000 square miles in North Dakota, Montana and Canada.

Here are some sweet NASA shots. Of our region. Mind you. the twin cities are are over 5 million people. My citiy Bismarck is 120,000 people, and wiliston was 20,000. No said to be over 200,000 pop with oil. We are all felling this growth. And they are going to start drilling near Bismarck, i cant imagine what my citiy is going to turn into in the next year or two. ND has changed. Its getting Unreal here.

I'm in the oilfield and the company I work for has a district in North Dakota. There making BANK up there right now! I've heard to many storys from guys I work with about how cold the winters are there. NO THANKS I'll stay in Arkansas!

average pay. 60,000k-80,000k starting. Summers are nice winters suck.

I've got some buddys that went up there and makin 30+ an hour... I've got another buddy that's training to get his welding cert to go up there. Some welders are getting up to 90+ an hour.
Just to rent to rent a house is 3000 a month. One of my friends stayed in a fema trailer @ $200 a month and had 6 people per room..

Some of the workover rig companies here in town are sending rigs up there as fast as they can.

yup i work for bayou well services(if you see purple equipment thats all ours) we have 16 work over rigs up there right now, another one is about to leave our yard and head up and we have another 16 work over rigs ordered and are being built to go up there.. ill stay down here in texas/la and not have to worry bout shitty winter conditions
