bbq chicken wings

alright heres a very simple recipe we use.
1 large bottle lemon juce(48 oz)
1 7.9 oz bottle knorr tomato bouillon with chicken flavor
2 lbs chicken drummetts and wings
1 bottle franks hot wing sauce
1 stick real unsalted butter

mix the lemon juice and tomato bouillon to get her well.
add you chicken to the mixture and let it marinate in the fridge about 4-6 hrs to soak up all that yummy goodness

when you go to light your grill get out a medium sauce pan.
melt the butter in the pan. once its melted add the franks and just let it mingle while you cook your chicken

next throw em on the grill.. cook time varies.

pull off the grill and let sit about 3-4 minutes

u can either toss the wings in some of the sauce or you can dip them, your choice.

if anybody trys this let me know how you like them.

Is tomato bouillon a liquid or are they crystals? I have been using some of the McCormick marinades on chicken lately and I have loved them. The one I really like I believe is kiwi lime one. Which I'm sure gives a similar flavor profile to what you are doing here. Kind of a sweet and spicy wing. The wife really does not like overly spicy food so if I do make hot wings I will use more butter and reduce the amount of Franks. I will also dip the wings in the sauce at the end and grill them some to get the sauce worked in and also to crisp up the skin some. Man now I have a taste for hot wings! I'll have to try this one.

I've been steaming them, then let them dry a little, and then put them in the sauce then grill or bake, then hit the sauce again. Crispy goodness. I love blue cheese and spicy stuff, so I make a blue cheese dip of some sort. I'll give this one a try next week Str8Ugly.

I assume it'd be fine replacing the lemon with lime...Might be a bit whacky but I have an intolerance to lemon so I guess lime is my best bet...
