New Denali Dirtymax !!!
 

Hey guys, Just bought a new Denali Duramax yesterday. Long story short, does anyone know what the largest tires size I can fit on this stock truck with factory molded mudflaps? I do not want to level or crank up the torsion bars. I do plan on a bds lifting it once the warranty runs out. But until then this L5P is staying stock.

18s or 20s? Stick with close to a 33" tire and you should be fine. 275/60R20 BFG All Terrains are D load range and what I would do... had them on my 3/4 ton burb and they did great.

I’m looking at a set of KO2s or a set of the new Nitto ridgegrapplers.

I'd suggest not going with KO2 right now. The newest model trucks are having many warranty issues regarding those tires at the moment and Michelin does not know what to do about it yet. What I hear is that the dodge trucks are going okay with them but they do not last if you tow because of how soft the tires are.

I say this because I may or may not work for a company that is owned by Michelin.....

Well both my dad and grandfather run ko2s on there 3/4 truck with great results. Plus I’m in Canada where I need a snow rated tire. Plus the BFGs are almost half the price of other all terrain tires. But nothing is set in stone. Just looking for the biggest tire I can run without any rubbing.

I'm not saying they don't work, it's just that with a lot of people here in Minnesota having issues with the current KO2's on the newer 2500 and 3500 Chevy trucks I don't suggest them at this time. The 285/60/20's are a bear to balance sometimes and often have road force issues right out of the box. That's not including extra wear from towing or plowing that happens.

Those new Nitto tires wouldn't be a great winter tire either, no tread sipes for winter traction. Great for gravel and mud but not so much on ice/snow covered roads.


And 285/60/20's are about as big as you can go before you start rubbing. That's roughly a 33-34in tire.

I'm on my third set of KO2s and haven't had the issues noted. Heard a lot about them... guess I'm lucky.

I have a 2016 Suburban with stock size (265/65R18) KO2s and it has no excessive wear nor balance issues despite being at 55 psi and E load range @25k miles and no sign of GM's SUV buffeting problems either... I run the KO2s all winter up here in AK and love them.

Edit: I hear they wear fast but all my neighbors swear by Duratracs. I can say they do great in the snow but I don't own anything with them on myself. Nitto/Toyos suck in the snow!

Toyo metric sized about 33.7" tall and 11.5 wide with no rubbing. Look at the metric conversion table and figure out what size you will need...

So 33x11.5 will fit stock? If so that’s awesome.
