Does anyone know who makes a good set of headers for 6.0 trucks?

Not going to run those plug wires on the engine actually going in the truck. And I am not spending a cent on this engine as its just a mock up for the headers so we can build the exhaust before I swap the new engine in it. In other words... it's not being driven. On the new engine I have the chevrolet scripted valve covers and am relocating the coil packs. If you ran it this way.. just get a set of fiber boots for a set of msd's or something.

2wd has the same chassis with even less things in the way so they will fit.

I just installed a set on my buddies 2001 2500HD, 4wd... brand new LQ9 and a 6L90 also...

Speed Endineering 1 7/8" with their true dual kit (full exhaust, not the dumps.)

I didn't have to hammer or tweak anything. They fit like a dream. The clamps however aren't even strong enough to grip the pipes together. I'll be welding all what... 12 connections? Well, aside from the header and over-axle portions.

I'll vouch for this exhaust though. Fit awesome, and super easy install.

When they charge over a grand, probably closer to 2000 with any connection pipes, you would hope they fit.

I went the cheapo route on my H2 and got the 1.75" stainless OBX setup and honestly, for the price (around $700 on eBay) I'm happy with them. Bungs already in place for O2 sensors as well as an extra bung or two for tuning sensors and the kit includes high flow cats. Only thing I do not really care for is the way the #3 tube arcs up first. That makes it so that your plug wire for #5 is going to be against the tube unless you fab a little bracket to strap the wire safely away from the tube. The includes manifold gaskets are **** though so order a set of good Remflex gaskets and some good ARP manifold bolts.

I did burn one of my damn Taylor wires at first. Was actually an easy fix though. I just bolted a little tab on which let me secure that wire away from the tube. I've had them on for several months now and am happy with them. The exact set set fits the pickups as well as the H2. I then lucked out and found a new old stock GMPP full stainless cat back setup (touring setup made by Borla). So I now have full stainless new exhaust end to end.

On the plus side - the OBX setup bolts right up and did not have any issues at all. Perfect fit. Annoyingly of course I had some broken factory manifold bolts. 4 in total, 3 of which I was able to extract but the back driver side one kicked my *** for hours and I finally gave up and put the adapter clamp back on that one which works just fine. Maybe if I ever pull the engine out I'll get that last one extracted but with the access it was just not going to happen.

American Racing Headers makes a set but you'll have to call. Its a great kit, had it on my 2002 2500HD 6.0

Obviously you get what you pay for (not cheap) but great headers.

After reading I ordered a set of 1-7/8 speed engineering headers and they fit great on my 01 2500hd 4x4. I had to bend the heat shields on the motor mounts which took 5 minutes along with trimming the ear on the trans a tad more compared to the pacesetters that rotted off before these. Over all very happy with fitment and quality of the header itself. Packaging was a bit to be desired and the clamps are not great just get the full band clamps. Now I just have to convert my current exhaust to fit the headers and I will be good to go!

Also highly recommend using the arp studs they are expensive but I use them on anything I put headers on with my LS stuff and it's great piece of mind.
