i have been looking at buying an 04 duramax crewcab 4x4 has the duramax/allison drivetrain anything i need to look into before i buy it?

 

Even though not common ask if injectors are new or original
Injector issues are most common in LB7 which brings up next question/debate
Is it LB7 or LBZ..04.5 to 06 I believe is LBZ... I personally am a fan of LB7 but most ppl on here seem to lean toward LBZ which is fine both are good only big differences is variable vane turbo (vvt)..LBZ is VVT
Lastly is how much u are going to be willing to sale your green truck to me for! Haha

 

04.5-the first part of 06 would be the lly motor not the lbz. fwiw. but yes what Goose mentioned above. lbz would be the truck to look for..

Ok sorry for the confusion but I screwed it up what I ment was try find out if it was lb7 or lly bc lly not LBZ was 04.5 same information just wring engine sorry should have checked myself before posting

04.5-06 is LLY VVT
06-07 classic body style LBZ
07-'10 is LMM
'10 to current is LML
