Default 03 avalanche 2500 8.1

Tested my fuel pressure and with vac line off fuel regulator I have 58psi. Running and line hooked at idle is 48psi. Is this ok?

Does it increase to around 56-58 when you give it gas?

I mean 48 is fine at idle technically as it would always run with that amount of pressure.

Yes it does increase to 58 while driving. Should it be 58 at all times? Or is 48 at idle telling me my pumps on the way out

Yes, it is functioning correctly. That's how a fuel pressure regulator works on a return style system.
