Default Shop near Huntington Beach, CA

My 08 Suburban had the #4 lifter break (118k mi), and the dealer is telling me for the price of repairing everything that I should put in a new engine. If I am going to put a new engine in I would like to put in a 6.0 or 6.2 - something more powerful than the gutless 5.3 it had. This isn't something I can handle myself so I am looking for a shop nearby that has some experience with this. I'm not interested in working with the local chevy dealer.

Any recomendations?

Thank you.

Bogart Automotive is a small shop in Mission Viejo that has done very good work for me at reasonable prices. They do a lot of off-road stuff, but it is definitely a full service shop. I know they have done complete LS replacements. Are you going to get your own swap motor?

They are probably 10-12 miles from you, depending on where in HB you are. There should be plenty of shops closer, if you can get a good referral. I agree, stay far away from dealers for something like this.
