Seriously this is some deadly potent power for a handgun in a frame that is lots easier to handle than one of those bulky 50 cal's.

I'd like to shoot one

That 460 kit would make a XD45 tactical pretty versatile. Could even carry it up here for bear protection when hiking/camping, etc. Nice find!

Yeah its still not quite as potent as my 500 magnum but it can pack 11 rounds in a package that's half the weight and half the size. Definitely a cool gun, the handloads for this round are quite potent

As I understand it, basically that's what this was designed for. I've got an email in to them about making me one for my 5.25, if they wont/cant I'll be picking up a tactical specifically for hunting carry. This setup would do a number spotlighting hogs

It's on the lower end of power compared to your typical rifle but in a defensive situation imo 11 rounds of much easier to shoot 460 in an XD frame would be better than having to use a long gun.

Why? It doesnt even come close to the 460 in power. The 50GI is too big and heavy to get any momentum going in such a short barrel.

There isnt even a debate as to which caliber is better. A compensator isnt needed for the 460 either. The 50GI is a big, slow, heavy round that is good but I just cant see where in any shape or form of the imagination its better unless you just want to brag that you have a 50 cal as far large autoloader rounds are concerned. If I want to act like I have a large third member I can break out the 500 magnum but its nowhere near as useable for hunting as an autloader is.

Rowland himself makes a nice conversion with a compensator that should be pretty good, got an email into him now about making me a barrel for my 5.25
