I'm a fan. Reminds me of the Colt Peace Keepers.

Thanks all. A bad *** brush gun it what I was going for. It was an old beatup 1980 JM stamp, that the last owner had a blue/grey paint put on. I did leave the gold trigger for now, may go with a black one later. Marlin purist hate anything that is not blued and walnut from what I have gathered in my web searching.

My build is:
1980 marlin 1895 45/70 govt
refinished factory forearm and buttstock in rustoleum bed liner
limb saver small grind to fit pad
OD green duracoat and black duracoat
Hand polished bolt
XS lever rail system

Thats a bad ****. Marlins are good guns. I love my little 22 mag. It gets beat up, dropped in the water and still works perfect.

I hear ya, I have a 1894 in 44 mag that was my papaw's. It had to be reblued and wood refinished, but thats it. Some you can't mod.

Mangled, I want one in 22 mag! Dad has the 22LR winchester lever, and its a sweet turtle gun.
