any of you guys build your own AR platform rifles? I mean actually build your own, not pay others to build them for you...

I've built a couple now, just ordered the receivers for my first billet build. All spikes tactical, 20" barrel, etc etc etc...

here's the one I got for Christmas and the mods I've done to it... love the look of this thing, the new Magpul KMR looks so bad *** (the install is kinda a bitch though and once it's on there, it's on there)

There's a great thread on AR15.com that walks you through every detail. The guy that put it together lives in the area. We've put a couple together, including a 458 SOCOM.

These Barnes solids open up to about .95"






These were fired into 24" of wet phone books @ 100 yards and penetrated to about 18" into the stack.
