Default Quick question...need some input please...5.3 to 6.0 injectors

I'm helping a buddy change his 2000 Silverado 5.3 engine to a 6.0L using a SS engine as the base. He is also going to use the 6.0L injectors. Do I need to change all the injector offsets to match the Silverado SS injector offsets and flow rates, just the flow rates, or what?

Thanks for the quick answers!!

OK...tune shows 24.8 psi....on the 5.3L injectors so thats the correct 6.0L injector too.

I was thinking the 6.0L injector was 28.x. Maybe I got all these durn injectors confused.

Thanks!

Even with the injectors being the same you will find that their are some differences in the injector data from operating system to operating system. My advice to whoever runs into a situation like this is to just go with the injector data from the base tune file they are using.

There are other differences too. Like the cylinder volume table. It would be best to have a segment swap done.

They are the same. I personally swapped in my 6.0L and with the current tune the injectors are maxxed out like it sits. If this engine breaths anymore air it cannot add anymore fuel than it is now at WOT. so an upgrade prolly wouldnt hurt, depending on the mods.
