Default Tru Cool 40,000

I put one of these on this weekend and I must say it makes one HELL of a difference!!

Picked mine up for around 130.00 shipped, then used stock line with adapters to finish it off.

From a cold start it shifts as usual, however from a hot start or when the trans gets to running temp, and with 90+ ambient heat it shift and performs way better! Not sure why they don't come from the factory with better coolers since heat seems to grenade the 60e's.

Anywhoo, The cooler is worth it! especially in warmer months!

i just put this on my truck with a 80e, i noticed it takes longer to get warm but overall it was same temp as the stock duramax cooler i had in before

granted im turbo'd so i have my FMIC blocking it. I was hoping that it was going to drop my temp at least 20 deg

what peak temps are you seeing , and are you running yours through the radiator?

what type of peak temps are you seeing? Mine has been ranging from 170-200 with outside temps being 85-100( low humidity to)

im almost debating taking mine out of the rad and just going straight from trans to cooler

i would see about 145-150 during the day driving easy on the highway, put my intercooler in front of it and temps went up 5-10. playing with it last nite i got it up to 175, lots of stop and go 30-0 and 60-0 plus many 30 and 60 punches up to about 100. got back on the highway set cruise at 70, temps fell back to 145.

once mine gets up in the 170+ range it doesnt want to go down during the day, but we have pretty dry heat not much humidity

My IC is 3" thick and blocks the full cooler to. I need to find a way to lower it down so the air below my IC hits the cooler
