Those temps are much too high for my liking. I would bypass the radiator without question.

Mine goes straight from trans to trucool and back with -6 hose and I see 135-140 F temps when cruising around in upper 90s to 100 degree temps. Back to back runs at the track produced temps in the upper 170s. I've also seen as high as 190s temps on a 4k stalled heavy denali truck on back to back dig runs. So, yes the Trucool can see temps over 150 (I've come across countless posts of people claiming they never see over 140-150 temps), you just need a setup that can produce that amount of heat. But in your instance, I'd imagine the issue is running through the radiator and maybe minimally it's position behind the FMIC.

with temps 110 degrees+ outside, mine runs about 160-165. I run mine thru the radiator. before tru-cool it was 190+, I don't even see that now pulling a 5000lb trailer.

Just add another temp range. My 40k by pass the radiator. Just regular driving I see 150 to 160. Driving hard for few pulls will creep up to 180. This in 90 degree weather.

Here in Michigan, on my Silverado SS with a 414ci engine and a 3600 stall converter, I would constantly see 190-210 while driving around with the stock cooler. Tru Cool 40k took me to 160-180 while driving around. I ran mine thru the radiator for the winter months, but it still ran on the cold side during winter.

Mine sits at 145* according to the sensor in the pan (not the gauge) as long as the converter clutch doesn't slip LOL>

Mine bypasses the rad and barely gets warm. Looking at my logs from the track the other day it got to 147* at the end of one run...started at 141*. That's about the hottest its been. Went from 130* to 133* on another run. On the street it is even cooler.
